Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexible work in a primary school in Gateshead I am working with a school who require a Year 6 Tutor as part of the National Tutoring Programme.The role is for 2-3 afternoons per week, tutoring mainly Year 6 Maths.What your responsibilities as a Year 6 Tutor will be:To develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons in response to gaps identified for the pupils.To work collaboratively with the school staff to support the pupils.To monitor pupil progress and adjust your teaching to meet the needs of the pupils.To maintain accurate records of pupil progress.To communicate regularly with class teachers to ensure continuity of learning.The requirements of the Year 6 Tutor role:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Experience of teaching in Year 6.Strong communication skills.Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.Excellent organisational skills and time-management skills.Current DBS on the update system.
