Job Description

The Company MTrec is proudly representing our long-standing client, with their incredible new project as they continue to set up and establish a brand-new manufacturing facility located in Follingsby Park, Gateshead. This ground break expansion is due to a new long-term NHS Contract they have been awarded to manufacture specialist masks for their highly prestigious customer.They are recruiting for the site and will require experienced Manufacturing operatives who can satisfy the production requirements of work orders and production schedules in line with the Company’s work instructions and quality standards and procedures. If you are an experienced and highly motivated manufacturing operative with a background of working in high speed automated environments and you are truly looking for a career defining opportunity and to really make a difference, then please apply for an initial discussion.The RoleWorking on a fast-paced production line, manufacturing face masks for the NHS. The role will be varied and duties would be but not limited to, general machine operating, using basics hand and air tools to assembly products, working closely with quality Co Ordinator’s and supervisors to meet production standards and general housekeeping duties.Reporting into the production supervisor, you must be able to operate, set and preferably understand a PLC / automated Machine with knowledge and understanding of PLC control systems and in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.Tasks and Responsibilities

  • All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.
  • Be able to select PLC programme files to manufacture the correct product.
  • To set automated assembly lines / machinery and monitor/inspect production alter/adjust settings and operate the machine until production run is complete
  • Can select the correct adjustments to complement alterations within the automated process where required.
  • Monitor wear, adjust, and replace worn tooling when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the high speed automated assemble lines / machinery.
  • Carry out regular preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment
  • Must be trained to worked on PLC driven automation and be able to produce products to drawing and test specifications. Carry out regular preventative maintenance on all high speed automated assemble lines / machinery and equipment
  • Ensure all work; tasks, procedures and documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001
  • Ensure paperwork is complete in an accurate and timely manner. Understand the datum’s and reference points on the product and tooling parts relating to a high speed automated assemble lines, must be able to use measuring equipment, to ensure accurate completion of operational paperwork / data bases.
  • Take responsibility for the work area ensuring high standards of housekeeping at all time
  • Demonstrate good team working ethic and commitment to highest quality standards
  • Always follow health and safety requirements

  • Must have experience in high speed automated assembly lines
  • PLC experience
  • Self-driven, proactive approach
  • Quality and Safety critical
  • A Knowledge and practical application to problem identification and solving
  • Ability to identify problems and initiate corrective remedial action
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely at varying levels
  • Ability to read and interpret SOS sheets and Engineering drawings
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and proceed with objectives without constant supervision to high standards
  • Work well under pressure

  • Good hand eye co-ordination - high degree of manual dexterity
