Job Description

Central Employment are supporting an established bespoke packaging manufacturer based in the North East, as they look to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager, joining their expanding operations team. Due to the business operating across two facilties, the new Warehouse Manager will need to cover both sites - Gateshead and Stanley.OVERALL PURPOSE:To have overall management of all Warehouse functions across two sites, ensuring tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
  • Implement and maintain digitalisation system linking with ERP
  • Strategically plan future growth and plan spacing requirements associated with the planned growth
  • Manage and action recruitment needs based on business requirements
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions are accurate
  • Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Organise, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
  • Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows.
  • Manage and control product skeletal and bales to be stored safely within the designated area.
  • Control, manage and maintain all warehouse equipment, ensure team are always compliant.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Production and Production Office
  • Train, guide and evaluate new warehouse employees.
  • To ensure all protective clothing provided is worn as per the guidance.
  • To work within company Health and Safety Rules
  • To assist and adhere to adhere to BRCGS standards.
  • To carry out any other duties that are within the employees skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous experience in plastics industry is preferred.
  • Experience of managing a team.
