  • Permanent Role - Starting salary of £22,500
  • You will work Monday to Friday initially on a 9-5pm, the move to a 2-shift rotation of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm

THE BUSINESSOur client is one of the leading steel stockholder and processors in the North East. They are looking to recruit a Trainee Warehouse Operative for their site in Gateshead. As a growing and thriving business, this is an excellent opportunity for you to joinan organisation who specialise in growth and innovation.As a result, they will offer you excellent opportunities to learn and develop a long-term career.THE ROLEAs a Trainee Warehouse Operative you have an excellent opportunity to develop a career with our client. You will be trained up to operate overhead cranes, side loading trucks and shunting of vehicles around the plant. You will also be trained to use processingmachinery including saws and shot blasting.
  • Your duties will include sawing, shot blasting, painting materials, loading/unloading vehicles using the crane. There is no real heavy lifting, as this is done by the crane. However you must be comfortable with tonne beams being lifted above.
  • You will also be wearing PPE due to the industrial environment you work in.
  • Constant training and development will be provided to continually develop your knowledge, skills and improve your own performance.
