We are currently looking for a trainee warehouse operator for the Felling Gateshead area. This is starting off on a temporary basis and transferring permanently after a successful probation period. The company are looking for someone to train with theopportunity of progression within the company.Paid weekly at a rate of £10.50ph, working Monday to Friday on a full time basis.The role is working in a fast paced warehouse environment, previous experience in a warehouse would be welcomed: however, all candidates are given training on the role and ongoing mentoring and coaching. Although full training will be given applicants shouldbe confident, self-motivated, hardworking, enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.The role:* Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager & Operations Supervisor* To carry out any duty assigned to enable the smooth and efficient movement of stock from goods in to goods out* To ensure timely preparation of customers orders to the highest standard of quality* To ensure duties are carried out effectively, accurately, and safely providing a high standard of service to the customer* Assist in all areas of the warehouse and work in a flexible team-based approach* Ensure products sent out to retailers are presented correctly and safely* Carry out duties avoiding stock damage* The roles are performance related and you will have daily and weekly targets that you will be expected to.* Complete operational /Administration duties when required* The accurate checking and unloading of incoming deliveries* Loading vehicles for despatch also unloading vehicles* Picking orders daily ensuring presentation is too a high standard* Compliance with health and safety and other appropriate policies and legislations* Work effectively to reach your daily KPIs* Administration work (Transport manifest and routing)Experience with the below is desirable;* Experience of working within a warehouse environment* Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines* Ideally have either Combi truck FLT, Counterbalance or reach preferable (However for the right candidate training will begiving)* The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems
