Job Description

Major Recruitment are working with a new client of ours who are a leading supplier of building products to the trades and labour sector.A customer-focused business who take great pride in looking after their customer relationships long term. This role will involve meeting customers needs and solving problems to make sure that customer satisfaction is always met.With a number of branches nationwide and a promising year of growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the launch of a brand new depot in Gateshead. They are recruiting for internal Trade Counter Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.Employment Details:

  • £20,000-£24,500 DOE & Company Bonus
  • 42 hours per week - 07:30-5:00 Mon-Thurs and 7:30-4:30 Fri (paid for 43 hrs to include 1 in 4 Saturdays which is 8am-12pm)
  • 28 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays, plus loyalty scheme. Holiday year January - December, Christmas closure taken from holiday.
As a Trade Counter Assistant you will be Responsible for:
  • To offer excellent levels of service to the customer.
  • Answering the telephone and assisting with phone queries, phone orders.
  • To input orders onto the system in real time and ensure the orders are correct.
  • To Input quotes onto the system and monitor and chase.
  • Able to give up to date and knowledgeable product advice.
  • Ensure the customer is kept informed of any changes to their orders/accounts in a timely manner
  • CRM management, cleansing, updating, and maintaining d ata.
