Senior Care Assistant - Immediate startLocation: Low Fell, Gateshead, NE9 5AJSalary: £11.15 per hourContract: Permanent, Full TimeHours: Day shift between 8am and 8pm on a rolling rota - 33 to 44 hours per weekShift: 3 shifts or 4 shifts per week, with some flexibilityBenefits: Company pension scheme refreshments while on shift Uniform provided DBS cost paidWe are looking for a caring person or persons to join the team at The Chesters Care Home in Low Fell, Gateshead, where we provide care and support to 33 older people. The role is for a full time Senior Care Assistant who will manage the medication and careplanning for our residents.Senior Care Assistant - Responsibilities:To administer medication for residents in accordance with your training. To complete and update care plans, ensuring care plans are comprehensive and person centred.You will lead by example setting high standards in your care of residents and promoting a person-centred approach.You will provide support and guidance to the care assistants in performing their duties.You will work closely with other healthcare professionals including GPs, district nurses and social workers to meet resident needs.You will be professional in all your dealings with visitors and health professionals.You will be happy to work with the Registered Manager to achieve high quality care in a home from home.Senior Care Assistant - Experience, qualifications & skills: Diploma Level 3 in Health and social care or above Ability to communicate effectively with clients and work colleagues Knowledge of care planning and person-centred care Experience of supporting other staff to deliver excellent care Experience of care of the elderly Satisfactory DBS Check and two referencesExperience of the following an advantage: Senior Care Assistant, medication administration, care planningDisclosure: The successful candidate will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the relevant body.No agencies please.
