Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are currently representing a well-established Roofing company based in Gateshead who are looking for an experienced Roofer to join their team on a Permanent basis. The company specializes in heritage, traditional, and modern roofingcontracts across the Northeast and surrounding areas. If you have a minimum of 5 years of roofing experience, hold an NVQ Level 2 in roofing, and possess a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.The Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate for this position will be proactive, motivated, and possess a "can do" attitude. You should be organized and able to work with a degree of autonomy. Since this role involves customer interaction, it is crucial to be well-presented andwell-mannered when communicating with clients.Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience with Bonuses paid based of company profitability & performance.Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:30 with plenty of overtime available which is paid at enhanced rates.Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute heritage, traditional, and modern roofing contracts.
  • Perform roofing maintenance, including remedial and repair work.
  • Work on various roofing types, including traditional, single ply, and liquid coating refurbishments.
  • Utilize your expertise in slating, tiling, and flat roofing (HP felting and EPDM).
  • Act as a competent Lead worker, proficient in mop rolling and lead sheet.
  • Identify, locate, and repair roof leaks on various roof coverings.
  • Willingness to work overtime on an as-needed basis, including early mornings and weekends.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and communicate effectively with the team and management.
  • Possess your own hand tools (power tools provided).
  • Be flexible and reachable during out-of-hours for client demands.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Existing supervisory experience or ambition to develop into a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Roofing.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Roofing.
  • General knowledge of basic building maintenance, including basic joinery.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • CSCS Card.
