Job Description

Our client is an award-winning retail brand who are seeking a Reward Specialist to be home based. This will initially be a 60-day contract and you will receive 2 to 5 days work per week. This role can fit alongside other contracts you are working, and the client is happy to be led by you on when you can do the work. The day rate is between £600 and £750 per day.This is a project based role to review Reward in Supply chain; base pay and bonus for volume based roles (warehouse operatives, FLT drivers etc.) which includes setting up pay structures, reviewing competitor benchmark data, pay/career progression guidelines and bonus design to attract/retain colleagues linking pay to performance in a meaningful way. The project will also include providing a recommendation on shift variances and allowances (e.g., overtime rates, weekend, and evening shifts, etc.). This project role will be responsible for the strategic alignment of the reward strategy/framework and our clients Big Three Priorities and Values ensuring a one team culture and increased motivation levels for sustained improvements in their key productivity and customer metrics.What is expected of the Reward Specialist

  • Be the engine of change to enable our client to move the Supply Chain reward and incentive model forward focussing on customer experience and colleague productivity.
  • Design, develop and deliver a new reward framework for Supply Chain to attract & retain desired talent, increase motivation levels for sustained improvements in their key productivity and customer metrics and strengthen line of site between performance and reward
  • Develop options and fully cost-model scenarios to explore impact of different approaches linked to commercial impact.
  • Ability to lead the programme autonomously (with proper level of stakeholder engagement) drawing on thought leadership experience to drive the success of the project. Seek approval and alignment through close collaboration and influencing of key Programme stakeholders ensuring board-ready presentations for sign off by the CHRO, Chief Supply Chain Officer, and Reward Director.
  • Provide implementation recommendations (e.g., communications approach) for the agreed reward strategy with clear measures of success and help drive embedding of approach that enables standardisation and consistency of model deployed across Supply Chain colleagues enabled by Senior Supply Chain Leaders.
  • What we look for in a Reward Specialist
  • A Reward specialist with significant experience in projects and programme development related to pay, pay progression, and short- term incentive plan design, including for hourly paid employees, with evidence of successful delivery, strategic alignment, and commercial value.
  • Compensation benchmarking (including formulating recommendations on comparator groups, mapping, and positioning) and formulating pay recommendations (e.g., salary ranges, bonus targets)
  • Ideally experience within multichannel full-service Retailers with online, store, supply chain and contact centres presence ideal.
  • Essential experience in designing best in class reward strategies for volume-based roles - including base pay, allowances, and incentive plans in the Supply Chain environment (ideally but not essential, other high volume job sectors considered, logistics etc) bringing recent/current insight and trends.
