  • Hourly rate - £15.88
  • Permanent/long term contract
  • Regular overtime available – Mid-week 1.3x / Saturday 1.5x / Sunday 2x

THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced Panel Wireman to join our client based in Gateshead. The successful candidate will be joining a company who were established over 50 years ago, specialises within manufacturing of fabricated metal productsand pride themselves on their engineering excellence. If you are looking for a role with flexibility and great earning potential we would love to hear from you!THE ROLE
  • Working within a close-knit team within the electrical department
  • Working from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and parts lists
  • Wiring harness, cabling and wiring looms assembly
  • Building boxes, trunking and carcases
  • Fitting push buttons, glands, switches, sockets, PLC’s, power supply units and circuit breakers
  • Making up control panels
  • Connecting panels, boxes and trunking to machinery
  • Wiring motors
  • Working with hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC and electrical systems
THE PERSON
  • Electrical qualification i.e. HNC, NVQ level 3, City & Guilds or BTEC (Ideally time served)
  • 5 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
  • Willing to travel worldwide occasionally with excellent earning potential (once fully trained)
  • Willing to work overtime when the company requires
