WHAT COMPANY YOU WILL BE WORKING FORWestray Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Metal Polisher to work a temp to perm contract based within Blaydon. Our client has established a reputation for quality and service, manufacturing a vast range of machined, fabricated, welded, pressed, paintedand laser cut components to customers specification. The companies ever-growing client base includes industries such as Sub-sea, Oil Gas and Exploration, Rail, Marine, Fastenings, Furniture, Defence and Aerospace.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLEMust have experience in a similar role, using with Twin Belt Grainers & Pad Sanders to achieve satin & polished finish on metals.The role will be to utilise hand tools such as mops, flap wheels etc to polish, satin & finishing non-ferrous metals such as copper, stainless steel & aluminium to a high standard.Maintain quality checks as required and to company standardsExcellent attention to detail, with a keen eye for qualityWork in line with company procedures and guidelines, to maintain and improve productivity, whilst meeting production deadlines.Be responsible for your own work area, focusing a clean and tidy approach to maintain a clean working environment.Follow company Health & Safety policy, to ensure all work is performed within a safe working environment.Self-motivated, with a positive can do attitude.A good communicator, prepared to work as part of a teamWHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITIONTo produce finished items in a timely & efficient way as part of production process.Able to read & interpret technical drawings, so grain direction is adhered too.Prepare components & equipment for the required process specified by the drawings.To work efficiently & safely within achievable deadlines.To produce work to correct specification and quality.To maintain high standards of workmanship & quality.To maintain a high percentage output.Work often requires undertaking Manual Handling tasks.WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLEThis role centres on a temp to perm contract.
