Job Description

Our client, a well-established engineering company based in Gateshead, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.You will have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry, as the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the companys facilities.Salary: £45K Annually Shifts: Day Shift Only - 39 Hours per Week Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full maintenance support to production, minimising downtime.
  • Respond to breakdowns promptly, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Implement planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance strategies.
  • Identify reliability issues, conduct root cause problem solving, and implement improvements.
  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment on site are mechanically and electrically safe.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with outside contractors when required.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Experienced maintenance engineer with supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in maintaining Mechanical Power Presses, Robotics, and Various Welding Machines.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of mechanical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in both electrical and mechanical domains.
  • Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, oil, and grease lubrication systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of motor drives and panel building.
  • Commitment to health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
