Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITYI am delighted to be supporting my client as they continue to grow in the size and now require an extra IT Systems Technician to help provide Tech assistance to both internal colleagues and external partners. Operating within fulfilment industry they supportsome of the best known delivery brands including Amazon, Etsy and eBay amongst others.In the role of an IT Systems Technician you will be tasked to both provide 1st and 2nd line Tech Troubleshooting, managing and maintenance across Hardware and Software within the business.Salary : £26,000 - £28,000Location : GatesheadHybrid working : No, this role is based on site 5 days a week. Working Hours : Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm, plus 1 Sunday morning in 4 (8am-1pm)THE ROLEJoining the existing IT Team of 3 you will be bringing additional support to the growing business and IT Service desk. Though the main function of this role is to provide this Technical support, the business is moving to adopt more use of data and there willbe growing opportunity to work within this function over time.

  • Collaborating with the Head of IT Services to deliver maintenance and support for IT systems, software, and hardware to clients and the organization.
  • Multi-site support across Gateshead and 3 x in Peterlee.
  • Undertaking System Administration responsibilities.
  • Implementing a high-quality customer journey in adherence to the established onboarding process SOP.
  • Facilitating a seamless transition to the operations team.
  • Supporting the configuration and operation of both new and existing clients through our order processing system (Mintsoft).
  • Contributing to the onboarding process for new clients.
YOUR EXPERIENCEYou will be able to demonstrate previous experience across:
  • Maintaining and supporting IT systems, software, and hardware, and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Assisting in the operation of the IT Service Desk using Jira.
  • Engaging in data analytics activities, knowledge of Excel, Power BI and key functions, producing reports, running formulas.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce web platforms would be beneficial.
  • Onboarding systems and data for new clients.
  • Integrating customer selling platforms with our system.
  • Conducting system demos and providing training, both internally and externally.
  • Assisting in the automation of existing processes.
  • Compiling Management Reports and generating custom/bespoke reports.
