Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITYExcited to partner with a leading North East events organization renowned for global events. Seeking an IT Systems & Events Engineer for Gateshead team, offering international travel to destinations like Dubai and Singapore.Salary: £30,000Location: Gateshead + internationalAgile working: YesDAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIESThis role provides a distinctive hybrid opportunity, supporting internal infrastructure and working with the field-based Events team, with international travel. Reporting to the Head of Event Technology and supporting the Infrastructure Manager, it offers growthin a dynamic environment, including weekend work and diverse event exposure.Support/Service Desk:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support, managing user accounts and core business systems.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Manager to maintain internal IT systems.
  • Maintain the asset register for all equipment.
Event Technology Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, plan, and support the delivery of events, ensuring smooth IT operations.
  • Complete technical specifications for events, liaising with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Manage site preparations, overseeing IT infrastructure on event days.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance technology services at event.
YOUR SKILLS / EXPERIENCETo excel in this role, youll need to demonstrate 2 years of IT support experience:Essential skills:
  • Office 365 administration and support.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server environments.
  • Familiarity with Anti-Virus & Anti-Malware products.
  • Competency in Hosted Telephony VOIP Management.
  • Knowledge of LAN and WAN configurations, Firewall, Routers, and Switches.
