Job Description

THE ROLEI am delighted to be partnering with one of the regions leading Software Developers and Managed Service Providers in the search for a IT Service Desk Analyst.Salary:£19,000£25,000 (based on experience)Location:GatesheadFlexible working: Yes split 50% in the office and 50% from home.Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, MondayFriday 08:0018:00 (split over shifts).Holidays:25 days plus bank holidaysDAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIESBased on the 1st Line of the IT Service Desk, your role will be primarily responsible for dealing with inbound calls and emails relating to IT issues. You will be tasked to gather the details of the issues and look to assist where possible or triage largerissues to the 2nd line support team.Working within SLA your main tasks will be based around:

  • User Management
  • Password Resets
  • General usability enquiries
  • Data loading and reporting
  • Daily, weekly and monthly checks for hosted applications.
YOUR SKILLSThis role will suit someone with strong customer service, administration and communication skills looking to enter the world of IT Support.To be suitable for the role you will:
  • Ideally have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (excel, word, outlook).
  • Have a great customer service skills and an ability to liaise with customers in a polite and professional manner.
  • Have an ability to prioritise work and accurately triage support calls.
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and within tight time constraints.
  • Have an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Be a self-starter with a can-do attitude.
Though previous experience working on a IT Service Desk is beneficial its is not a requirement. Your personality and character are important to the business and if you can demonstrate experience dealing with inbound enquiries and have a great communicationskills then the technical skills can be taught.Full training cab be provided and as a business they are committed to their staff and offer opportunities for further training and progression.
