Providing insight to informed decisionsCEM: Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring, part of the Cambridge family, is a vibrant organisation that has established a reputation for innovation and quality in educational assessment and research. Based in the North-East of England, we work with schools, colleges, education authorities, government agencies and other organisations to provide high quality information through scientifically grounded research.Part of Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press, CEM helps teachers turn data into knowledge, bridging the gap between research and practice, and providing evidence to support good decision-making.We are seeking a talented individual to undertake the role of Data Insight Manager. This role will be fundamental in CEM better understanding its customer and prospect base, and how market data can inform the decisions we make.Inspired by Teachers and Informed by Evidence. Your work will make a difference.In these current times our people are home based, but we look forward to moving into our vibrant new office at Gateshead Quay opposite the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. We welcome applications from outside the North-East and will discuss at interview how we can manage the best strategies for keeping in touch with the team and office.InsightAs a customer champion you will understand the competitor landscape and advise on trends. You will plan and conduct research on key themes within education and CEM, and conduct customer listening exercises, covering areas such as brand perception, product insights and reasons to buy from CEM.Data set up and maintenanceAs an Insight Manager, you will create reports that show end to end tracking of marketing and sales activities, as well as campaign monitoring dashboards. You will be aware of how best to transform qualitative findings into quantitative datasets.Data AnalysisUsing your skills in data analysis you will provide weekly marketing activity reports mapped to sales progress, as well as monthly senior leadership and board-level reporting. By understanding the key marketing, sales cycles and data reports from other Cambridge Business Units, you will have a full picture of performance and understand trends within the marketplace.CollaborativeWorking very closely with marketing teams, both in CEM and within other Cambridge Business Units, you will form excellent working relationships with the sales team at CEM, enabling them to have visibility of marketing and customer data to inform their own decisions. Also working with systems architects to seek greater efficiencies and adoption of data, you will understand client and prospective client perspectives.What we’re looking forEngaging, empathetic and diplomatic, you will have the ability to see the bigger picture and understand how this role fits within many departments. With greatly developed analytical skills and the ability to see data trends, anomalies and ways to improve data congruency, you will have experience in interacting with prospects and clients and extrapolating key information in an engaging way.
