Job Description

Blair West aresupportingone of the worlds largest manufacturing businesses on their search for an HR Manager. This 12-month role will provide HR support to the Gateshead site, bringing management and business partnering experience to the role. There isconsiderable responsibility within this role and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the site through excellent HR practice. The opportunity:

  • Oversee the HR Management of the Gateshead site, with c200 employees
  • Be a business partner to the site stakeholders, coaching and supporting them through HR practice
  • Implement transformational projects for the success of the site
  • Enhance the existing appraisal and performance review process
  • Identify learning and development requirements
  • Partner and build relationships with unions
  • Work within the parameters of the wider AkzoNobel systems and processes
Youll be the ideal candidate for this position if youre:
  • A strong stakeholder manager, who can manage a variety of different behavioural and working styles
  • An excellent business partner, who can smoothly move between strategic and operational work
  • Experienced working in partnership with unions
  • Comfortable working in large scale organisations with existing structure and process
  • Data orientated, using people metrics to inform decisions
  • Bring a flexible approach to the role, understanding the nuances which each person and scenario will bring
