Job Description

REED Engineering are delighted to be recruiting exclusively fora well known and highly respected family-owned manufacturing business based in Gateshead who are seeking to employ an experienced Health, Safety & Business Systems Manager on a permanent basis. To be considered in this position you must have experience in a Health & Safety role and be NEBOSH qualified, preference will be shown to candidate with experience of working to ISO 9001 & 45001 standards, preferably within manufacturing.As Health & Safety Manager some of your key duties will include:

  • Management of the day-to-day aspects of Health and Safety on site to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001
  • Managing Risk Assessments
  • Managing safety training
  • Reporting and reviewing near miss/incident data
  • Identifying and delivering on topics via toolbox talks
  • Controlling the IMS and updating on procedures where required
  • Maintenance of COSHH records and assessments
  • Maintenance of supplier and the business MSDS information
  • Managing calibration of site scales and meters
  • Maintaining the Ecovadis sustainability accreditation
  • Controlling all waste documentation
  • Completion of supplier questionnaires
