General Manager Gatesheadto c£65k neg dep exp + generous benefits + bonusOur client is part of a group that has been established for more than 150 years and specialise in a range of bespoke engineering activities, with this newly released role covering all of the divisions allied to the Gateshead location supplying solutionsfor a diverse portfolio of blue-chip clients globally.Due to the current established post-holder retiring at the end of the year, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced engineering General Manager to be responsible for all aspects of operations and product engineering for a number of engineering divisions,ensuring the adherence of them all to financial budgets and relevant HSE policies as required.Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful General Manager candidate will both organise and efficiently operate the resources of all divisions (encompassing manufacturing and machining amongst others) in order to ensure the demands of customers areachieved, including delivery of the total product/system design, manufacture, assembly, test on time and to agreed specifications, whilst committing to continuous improvement activities across the business and reviewing methods, practices and procedures aswell as implementing any identified improvement actions in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency on an ongoing basis.Responsible for ensuring the achievement of the financial budget of each division, you will excel in the creation and timely delivery of accurate financial information, managing contract reviews as they arise and ensuring compliance across all divisionsto the Groups HR, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, whilst operating as an agent of communication between the Management team, employees, fellow divisions of the Group and customers.To be considered for this varied and challenging General Manager role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate an appropriate engineering degree linked with a commercial or economics qualification or a post-graduate business qualification,and demonstrate at least 8 years previous experience and success in a senior management role along with a thorough understanding of managing engineering operations, manufacturing processes, with solid financial and commercial astuteness and exposure to salesand marketing management.In return, an exceptional remuneration and benefits package are available to a suitably experienced, self-motivated and committed individual seeking a progressive move with an internally renowned operation committed to the highest levels of customer serviceand satisfaction at all times.Contact the Executive Team at Premier Technical Recruitment on or email your cv in confidence to for further details.
