Job Description

Job Title: Store ManagerLocation: Gateshead, UKSalary: £37,000 basic salary with bonus potential of up to £70,000Our client is the UKs largest retailer of solid hardwood furniture, with over 90 stores nationwide. We are currently seeking a Store Manager for our clients Gateshead store, who will be responsible for managing and leading the store team to achieve salestargets and provide excellent customer service.Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked, merchandised, and maintained to a high standard.
  • Drive sales and profitability by implementing effective marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular feedback to the regional manager on store performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar retail management role, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales and marketing.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions to drive business performance.
  • A passion for furniture and home decor, with a strong understanding of our clients brand and products.
