Job Description

Warehouse OperativeGateshead We are currently recruiting for a stockholding company in Gateshead. Your job will entail completing daily warehouse tasks in line with Health and Safety, Quality, and training Procedures.General Responsibilities Key Daily Tasks:

  • Operating 5 ton overhead gantry cranes via radio remote/pendant control to enable the picking and preparation of material from storage racks for outgoing loads and saws.
  • Driving of mobile plant such as fork lifts, plus side-tracker to enable the safe storage of material in high level racking.
  • Driving road based vehicles for loading and transportation purposes around site.
Health & Safety:
  • To follow all safe systems of work as per training, risk assessments and safe working procedures provided.
  • To ensure all drivers under your control, when loading or unloading vehicles, comply with the wearing of personal protection equipment (PPE) at all times when on site, and conform to the safety standards.
  • Follow Manual Handling task as per guidance and training provided.
  • Seek advice from your foreman if there is anything you are uncertain of.
Housekeeping Standards:
  • Maintain a consistent approach by ensuring housekeeping is carried out on a daily basis throughout all areas of your designated working bay, which is monitored by your foreman
Hours, Salary and Benefits
  • £10.05an hour
  • Monday to Friday
  • Shift Flexibility
  • Day Shift- 5.30am1.30pm
  • Back Shift- 14.00pm22.00pm
  • Permanent Position
