Job Description

WHAT COMPANY YOU WILL BE WORKING FORWestray Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Control Panel Tester to work for our client based in Gateshead. You will form part of a close-knit team working for an organisation with a growth ethos. The client based for this company is broad and theyproduce panels to serve sectors such as Food, Manufacturing, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Substations and General Manufacturing.The control panels are used to run machines & equipment in terms of speed, pressure, temperature, heat, etc.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Wiring and testing electrical control panels
  • Performing visual checks and cross checks against parts lists
  • Undertaking power off megger and electrical earth testing
  • Power up electrical testing
  • Testing component parts and assessing functionality
  • Completing all associated test documentation
  • Assisting with panel wiring as per the requirements of the business
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
  • Experienced testing control panels
  • Ability to use testing equipment such as megger, multimeter and flash testing
  • Flexible attitude to assist with panel wiring duties
  • Ability to complete paperwork
WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLEThis is a permanent role from day one. The standard week is 37 hrs comprising of 7:30am-4pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 7:30am12 noon. Due to the volume of work, there is readily available overtime paid at time &and they are generally working 6:30am-6pm.WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVING
  • £32K-£35K per annum depending on experience, plus overtime paid at time &
  • 22 days holiday, plus statutory, plus 4 days for between Christmas and New Year
