Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUWestray Recruitment Group are seeking CNC Machinists (Millers & Turners required) to join our client based in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidates to join a successful Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer who are offering permanentcontracts on a day shift role.THE BUSINESSThe company in question are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North East of England. With nearly 50 years of experience in machining and assembling critical subsea components and systems, they are a market leader in their field.THE ROLE

  • Working within a busy machine shop operating various machines and controls
  • Programming and operating machines to produce products of the required quality standards and specification
  • Working with a wide range of materials including; Alloy Steel, Inconel, Titanium and Stainless Steel
  • Operating measuring equipment i.e. micrometres, Verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs and ring gauges
THE PERSON
  • Time served Machinist
  • Understanding tolerances, surface finishes and geometric tolerances
  • Comes from an Industrial Engineering background
Any of the following;
  • CNC Turner with Fanuc or Mazatrol setting/programming experience
  • CNC Horizontal Millers with Fanuc setting/programming experience
  • CNC Vertical millers with Hass or Fanuc setting/programming experience
  • 5 Axis Millers with Heidenhain setting experience
