Job Description

Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be representing a forward thinking client in recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant. Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be responsible for bridging the gap between junior and senior team members.Main Duties

  • Ownership of Accounts Payable function, Accounts Receivable function.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and month end journal posting
  • Production of a monthly payment run
  • Production of Accrual and Prepayments journals
  • Bank Reconciliations including reconciliation of Direct Debit accounts.
  • Assisting with month end margin analysis
  • Working with the Management Accountant to lead on month end process and ensure deadlines are achieved to support reporting requirements
  • Quarterly VAT return
  • Completion of financial returns to legal bodies
Skills & Knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar finance role.
  • Excellent excel and computer skills are required, as is the passion to meet deadlines with accurate information.
  • Strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Understanding of accounting software systems.
  • Managing workload effectively
  • Experience of Xero accounting software
