Job Description

Office Angels are currently recruiting for an Administrator, to join our client who are based in Gateshead on a permanent contract basis. If you have previous experience of working in an Administrative role and are looking for your next excitingnew career move, then this is a great opportunity not to be missed! The company we are working with are extremely successful and well-established in their field. You will be joining a friendly, genuine, supportive and very busy team, who are based in a lovely office space in Gateshead.The company are going through an exciting time of growth and expansion, so this is a great time to join their growing team.

  • Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 depending on experience
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30PM, or 8:30AM - 5PM -take your pick! 30-minute lunch break each day
  • Location: Gateshead
  • Permanent career opportunity
  • Holiday: 25 days, 3-4 days to be taken over Christmas shut down, plus bank holidays.

Role and responsibilities
  • Process customer and supplier orders, delivery requests and accounts
  • Create and update orders and delivery requests
  • Develop and maintain good and effective working relationships between customers, suppliers and sales staff
  • Provide Administration support the sales team and other departments
  • Ensure prompt action and progress of calls and queries received from customers, suppliers and sales staff
  • Notify material availability concerns to sales staff and wider field team
  • Prepare and issue quotes to customers as requested
  • General office duties such as visitor reception, filing and all general administration tasks
Essential skills
  • Well-developed telephone call handling skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be polite but assertive when required in difficult situations
  • Highly organised
  • Ability to listen properly and to be patient when required
  • Able to work accurately and quickly
  • Ability to work under pressure and make correct decisions
  • Good skills in Word and general Windows environment
  • Evidence of building relationships with customers or suppliers
  • Relevant experience of customer support and admin.
