Job Description

Advert Quality Improvement Manager – Mental Health Urgent & Emergency Care (UEC) – 12 months fixed term/secondmentAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team and help transform the quality of mental health (MH) urgent & emergency care pathways and improve the services offered across the East of England.As Quality Improvement Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic regional mental health team leading on projects to improve care pathways with a focus on mental health crisis, liaison, inpatient and crisis alternative services and suicide prevention.The post would ideally suit someone looking to apply and develop their experience of project management to improving quality of mental health crisis and liaison care including:

  • Working with STP/ICSs to support implementation of Long Term Plan ambitions for mental health crisis, liaison, therapeutic inpatient and suicide prevention.
  • Supporting the regional mental health team in taking forward quality improvement and assurance approaches across the East of England relating to mental health crisis and liaison.
  • Working locally with STP/ICSs on finding solutions to complex problems to help improve the lives of people living across the East of England.
  • We are very interested in hearing from you if you have experience working in an acute or mental health crisis care setting or experience engaging with these services in your work. The post holder will also support quality improvement in complex pathways of care through expertise in:
  • Developing effective clinical networks
  • Change management and quality improvement
  • Programme and project management.
  • The Regional Mental Health Programme team undertake a broad programme of activities to support commissioners and providers with their core purpose of quality improvement and ultimately benefit patient and population health outcomes.
