Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the East of England Recovery PMO. The successful candidate for this role will be highly organised, proactive and results driven and looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a fast paced PMO.The Recovery PMO provides robust coordination and support of regional recovery activity, providing additional capacity and focus to the management of the recovery programme. The PMO uses a consistent approach to the development and use of project management tools, provision of clear guidance around planning requirements and consistent monitoring of progress. The team supports workstreams in developing their recovery plans and related quality and service improvements by assisting in the completion of workstream project documentation and preparation of weekly Recovery Board papers and national recovery meeting papers, strengthening reporting and monitoring processes to subsequently drive the programme.The PMO provide risk management support to workstreams through the early identification and management of risks and issues that are likely to impact on progress and ensure appropriate remedial actions are taken. It also ensures cohesiveness and oversight across the programme through mapping interdependencies between workstreams and defining and tracking KPIs to facilitate the reporting of evidence-based metrics with robust narratives. The PMO has a high level of engagement with a range of stakeholders, with each workstream having an aligned dedicated resource for programme management support, as well as a designated lead contact for regional NHSE/I system recovery leads.The roles and responsibilities of the PMO Officer are as follows:

  • Attend meetings to record, prepare, submit and distribute minutes and action lists as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Responsible for collating and updating workstream reports in timely manner
  • Provide support across all workstreams and ensure consistency across all
  • Continually review information received and work with PMO managers to ensure completeness and accurate updates received
  • Support the workstreams in maintaining:
  • Identification of workstream interdependencies
  • Identification of project risks
  • Identification of actions and tracking actions
  • Maintain milestones log
