Job Description

As a Diabetes Network Coordinator the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering effective administration support to the CVDR (Cardio-Vascular, Diabetes and Respiratory) workstreams within the Clinical Network.The post holder will provide a comprehensive, professional, effective secretarial and administration service to the network team. The Diabetes Network Coordinator will display a considerable degree of initiative, apply a high degree of confidentiality, possess mature judgement and embody the values of the NHS England. In particular the post holder will provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example, the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required. Supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for the teams and the department.The Network Coordinator will provide a full range of administrative duties, including;

  • Preparing documents, reports and materials in readiness for meetings. Arranging meetings, compiling agendas; taking formal minutes and chasing actions.
  • Organising and planning Network events as directed, providing all necessary support and events materials.
  • Planning and updating diaries for the wider Network Team, maintaining effective bring forward systems.
  • Proficient keyboard skills and use of Microsoft Office software particularly Teams.
  • Ensuring all correspondence is accurately and appropriately presented, this includes proactive management of generic team in-boxes and emails.
  • Word processing – typing (including audio) of general correspondence and reports and updating electronic filing systems.
  • Handling queries and ensuring that relevant information is imparted and confidentiality is maintained including awareness of information governance (GDPR) requirements and data protection.
  • Setting up Teams meetings and webinars.
  • Professional, calm and efficient manner.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise when necessary.

  • The successful candidate will have significant administrative/secretarial experience. They will be a clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills, and be committed to and focused on quality, promoting high standards in everything they do.
