Job Description

Are you interested in working as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting staff across the East to deliver the direct Commissioning of primary care for the Region. An exciting opportunity to work in NHS England and NHS Improvement - East of England Primary and Secondary Care Dental Contract Team will help you achieve that. We have an exciting role within the East of England Primary and Secondary Care Dental Contract Team, covering the commissioning, procurement, and contracting for the provision of Primary and Secondary Care dental services.Working with the East of England Primary and Secondary Care Dental Contract Team, you will support project delivery and contract management across the region.Are you the right person for the jobWe are looking for a candidate with strong experience in project and contract management.The successful candidate will also have robust skills in partnership across sectors, implementation of good practice project and contract management, and able to deliver successfully through others including managing successful teams.Primary responsibilitiesWorking internally and externally to deliver projects and contracts on time, to budget, and to requirements and in a cost-effective and best value way. This will include ensuring providers are delivering consistent, high quality and inclusive services that meet contractual requirements, and that these are monitored and reported, using existing contract performance and quality mechanisms.Person specificationCandidates will possess:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Training and / or experience in project management and contract management
  • Experience of co-ordinating projects and contracts in complex and challenging environments
  • Candidates will bring the following expertise:
  • A commitment and focus on project and contract management practice which promotes high standards in the delivery of quality services that comply with contract requirements and project standards
  • The capability to plan over short, medium and long-term time frames and adjust plans and resource requirements
  • The ability to set up and implement internal processes and procedures
  • Leadership and management with a collaborative and influencing style of working
  • Excellent communication and IT skills with an organised and flexible approach to working
  • The post holder will be required to work within the East of England Primary and Secondary Care Dental Contract Team, supporting the management and delivery of a range of projects and contracts to ensure the quality and improvement of commissioned services.
