Clinical Research NurseSalary: £31,365- £37,890 per annum (Pro-rata) Band 6.Full Time - 37.5 hours per week.Funding for the post is available for two years. The post is for an appropriate point band 6 NHS scale depending on experience.Are you a registered general nurse (Registered Nurse (Adult) who cares passionately about clinical researchIf you are looking for an interesting challenge this may be the job for you.The Windsor Research Unit has an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic team of Clinical research nurses, Clinical research practitioners and doctors to deliver research across five specialties: mental health, neurodegenerative conditions, COVID, physical health/community and genetic diseases.In the role, you will work as part of the Windsor Research Unit multi-disciplinary team and you will be responsible for the leading and or supporting high quality designed studies and clinical trials. You will be part of Windsor Research Unit’s dedicated team of dynamic and self-motivated staff.Previous research experience is essential.As a Research Nurse you will be coordinating patient care during research studies with responsibility for conducting clinical activities, education, and monitoring of study subjects through their research care pathways. You will also be involved in planning and set up of new research studies.You will liaise with pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, clinical trials units and clinicians working in local NHS Trusts.You will be required to perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, ECG and other clinical interventions that are specified by the research study protocol. Comprehensive training will be provided. You will need a good attention to detail to record study data as well as strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are required.The successful candidate will split their base between Cambridge and Peterborough. It will be essential to have flexibility to adjust time spent at each base depending on service need. The successful candidate will be employed by CPFT, working mainly weekdays 9am-5pm.
