Job Description

Trainee Lamp Room Production AssistantLocation: Fowlmere, CambridgeshireSalary: Competitive, DOEContract: Full Time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm - Overtime will be required on a rota basis, every other Saturday - early mornings - occasionally PMThe role of the Trainee Production Assistant is to learn and carry out assigned work as directed by the Production Manager or appropriate Team Leader. To produce products to a high standard in quality and in a timely manner, efficiently working as part of the Production team.Production Assistant - The Role:The Role will report to the Team Leader and will involve the following:

  • Produce all PID lamp variants via all the relevant processes
  • Monitor gas supplies and advise when low for re-ordering
  • Maintain lamp production information on computer
  • Where necessary assist with service/ maintenance of equipment
  • Data input on spread sheets
  • Stock check
  • Under guidelines from Team Leader fulfil requirements required for working day
  • Attend internal meetings when required
  • Keep Lamp Room neat and tidy at all times
  • Train new members of staff when required
  • Assisting other departments in Ion Science as needed
  • Overtime will be required on a rota basis (every other Saturday - early mornings - occasionally PM).
