Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team,youll play a core part in providing fantastic customer service.Hours:30 hours per week. We’re looking for someone to work during our core hours of 9am-5pm. Hours available will include summer holidays, bank holidays and weekend shifts. Flexible hours to be discussed at interview with a variety of shift patternsavailable, however it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern occasionally to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible and discuss this with you.Location:Contractually your location will be Formby, but youll also work at Rufford Old Hall. This role is approx. 70% outdoors based as the position is split between the 2 properties, Rufford which is mainly indoors with some outdoor activity.Formby is 100% outdoors. Youll also work alongside the wider property team consisting of our Rangers, Facilities Programming,Partnerships and Food & Beverage Teams.Formby is a highly designated and much-loved coastal site, which welcomes around 1.16 million visitors annually. It’s not without its challenges and we are always looking at the best ways to manage this site for nature and people too.You’ll also work across the portfolio at Rufford Old Hall, a Tudor mansion in Ormskirk home to 500 years of Hesketh family history. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent serviceto all our visitors, every day. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day.You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place you’ll work with the visitor welcome team to linkeverything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.Willing to work outside in all weathers and deliver tasks when the weather conditions aren’t ideal.Comfortable working in a flexible and adaptable way within a busy environment, the successful candidate will be positive with an approachable attitude.
