Start Date: Immediate Pay: Competitive We have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedregistered nurse to join our amazing team at Earlscliffe. As School Nurse, wewill expect you to provide a first class standard of medical, health, wealthand pastoral service for our students and develop the wellbeing initiativethroughout the school. The role involves daily liaison with ourresidential and other pastoral staff, assessing the needs of our students andusing a problem-solving approach to reach clinical, therapeutic and prescribingdecisions. Although working within this supportive pastoral team, you also needto be comfortable in taking the initiative where appropriate or necessary.As an organisation we aim to care for all of ourstudents needs, physical, social and emotional and our NMC registered nurseshould have up to date qualifications and registration, together with goodleadership skills. You will also need to have excellent ICT skills. you shouldbe enthusiastic and flexible - no two days are the same here at Earlscliffe. Youwill hold daily clinic sessions for students presenting with ailments to assesswhether they can still attend class or require bed rest. You will then beresponsible for attending to them, and monitoring their condition throughoutthe day. Meticulous record keeping is essential particularly for theadministration of medicines and medical or first aid treatment. We have a strong team of staff who are caring,supportive and who all work with a determination to be exceptional in all thatthey do. This is supported by excellent CPD opportunities, a supportiveleadership team and excellent employee benefits. The post is not residential but there may be anoccasion for the option or need for some overnight on-call duties. Youwill be expected to be available on the telephone out of hours to providemedical advice. Experience of working in a similar environment would bebeneficial but it is not essential.
