Job Description

Adecco are proud to be recruiting for an expanding company in Folkestone who are seeking a Packaging Inspector to join them on a temporary basis for an expected 12 months.This role will require you to work 8:00am till 16:30pm Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak and 8:00 - 15:30 Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak.This role requires:

  • Quality evaluation of incoming components
  • Packaging materials and third party manufactured finished goods
  • Visual inspection
  • Product testing will be carried out to ensure that all received items are within their approved specification.
Required skills/experiences:
  • Inspecting incoming components and packaging materials according to approved specifications
  • Based on the inspection results, decide whether to accept, reject or take advice on the quality of components
  • Maintain and update when appropriate, the hard copy (paper) approved specification files
  • Ensure that the teams library of standard component/packaging reference samples and hard copy artwork files is kept current
  • Ensure that the teams test method procedures and work instructions are kept up to date
  • Releasing passed components and packaging materials on SAP
  • Supporting sampling of incoming goods if required
  • Labelling of rejected pallets of components in conjunction with the Warehouse Team
  • Supporting Warehouse Team with quality related issues at incoming goods reception
  • A good general education
  • Computer literate, ideally with SAP experience
  • Previous experience in a quality control, quality assurance or quality inspection background advantageous
  • Strong communication skills - must be able to effectively liaise with other functions.

  • Ability to work independently and be able to make decisions
