Job Description

Servoca Resourcing Solutions are in search of 3 HOLMES Indexers to work for a police force on the Kent coast on a temporary contract basis.Role Overview:Index, record and research data on HOLMES databases, as directed by the Systems Supervisor and indicated by the document manager within the incident room, ensuring that information is accurately recorded and easily retrievable.Key Responsibilities:

  • Index, record and research all relevant information on HOLMES databases, as outlined by the document manager, ensuring that records are accurate and easily retrievable.
  • Produce information for further investigation by officers working on major incidents, recording and assimilating any information produced as a result of these enquiries. Identify and raise anomalies, possible errors and other items of importance with the HOLMES Systems Supervisor or document manager in order to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the database.
  • Receive telephone enquiries from members of the public in response to appeals or information and deal with other enquiries, exercising considerable discretion in filtering and redirecting calls to ensure that confidential information is not disclosed and ensuring that details are accurately recorded and available to the officers in the case.
  • Research specific lines of enquiry on the HOLMES database as directed, in order to assist with the police investigation.
  • Undertake a range of general duties such as proof reading, producing the duty performed sheets and the resources sheets, faxing, filing etc. as required by the System Supervisor, in order to maintain the effective and efficient operation of the incident room.
  • Essential Criteria:
  • Previous experience in a Major Incident Room
  • HOLMES Trained
  • Location: Folkestone, KentPay Rate: £10.33 PAYE - £13.52 UmbrellaContract Length: March 2021 initially
