Job Description

About the ClientMy Client are a well-established oriental wholesaler and retailer who have been around for over 50 years. With stores across London areas such as Alperton and Tottenham, they have successfully built a wide customer population and gain excellent reputations among customers. They are a multi-product retailer selling over 5000 varieties of products and serving over 25,000 customers per week.About the RoleI am looking for a tenacious, hands on and customer focused individual to join our team in our head office in Tottenham as an Accounts clerk to cover the Sales and Purchase Ledgers.RoleLocation: TottenhamSalary: From £21,000 - £24,000 per annumPosition: Accounts ClerkHours: 9am to 5:30pm with 1 hour lunch break.Duties Include:

  • Raising high volume invoices
  • Liaising with external customers and suppliers to resolve issues
  • Process Direct Debits and Posting payments
  • Accurately matching invoices to purchase orders and querying all discrepancies
  • Checking, matching and input of invoices, supplier and internal liaison, supplier account reconciliations and compilation of invoices for pay-runs
  • Analysis of credit card statements, matching to documentation
  • Ensuring that accounts are accurate and up-to-date
  • Processing expenses claims
  • Supplier Reconciliations
  • Daily Scanning Invoices received by post
  • Resolving Supplier Queries Telephone/Email
  • Any other Adhoc duties
  • Requirements
  • Experience in use of a mainstream accounting package
  • Previous experience dealing Sales and Purchase ledgers
  • Numeracy & accuracy is paramount
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
