Job Description

Are you experienced in Licence Management and looking for a new challenge We have a career opportunity at CIMPA that may be of interest.CIMPA has been an important and integral part of Airbus PLM License Management for 10 years. Whilst the team is small, its effective function is highly critical for the smooth operation of many of Airbus PLM tool sets, ensuring the availability of theselicensed products. It has close working relationships with the various Product Service Lines (PSL), Procurement and the Engineering teams utilising these tools.The team primarily focuses on the Maintenance, Contract and Renewal of the various licensed products, as well as providing both technical and contractual license coordination support and troubleshooting.What you will be doing:

  • Software Assurance - the renewals of maintenance and support agreements around a variety of software products that support the physical and functional design tools used by the engineering teams.
  • Bespoke and standard reporting - the generation of usage reports and recommendations to support the business challenge.
  • On boarding of new software support and maintenance into the teams perimeter.
  • Working closely with the DP License Manager, the IDLM team and Governance, to develop a new way of working based around a PSL led approach.
  • Perform license enrolment tasks (both annually and ad-hoc), attend troubleshoot RED teams, generate reports on license usage / trends, handle incoming incidents based around license related topics.
  • Troubleshoot issues arising from license installation and support the business in defining both the best possible license position; and current ELP, to influence contract negotiations.
  • Deployments, including the harvesting and effective re-utilisation of licenses
  • Development towards "Software Asset Management" and rolling out some of the best practices to the client.
  • Perform the MCR activities for a number of renewals, this involves.
  • Checking, recording, ensuring enrolment or distribution of licence files / keys in a timely manner, as required.
  • Perform mid-year corrections and adjustment to licence files / levels, as required.
  • Monitor the availability and capacity of the licenses, as required
  • Actively participate in the adoption of new software licenses and maintenance, verifying all necessary aspects (rights of use / finance / installation & monitoring / user community / PSL, etc.) whilst on-boarding into the DPUS perimeter
Develop an understanding of various editors license mechanisms (such as FlexLM, DSLS, RLM, etc.) and become a point of contact for the department / PSL / Engineering teams.What youll bring:
  • A basic understanding of software asset management; the general principles of finance and procurement; and software governance.
  • Demonstrate ability to work on time sensitive activities and deliver on-time every time.
  • Ability to work closely to process and respect the procedure; and identify when it is essential to deviate from the golden rules and problem solve.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal English
  • Orientated positively towards transparent and ethical solutions and not the get it done at any cost solution.

  • Previous experience of working in License Management position
  • Previous experience working with the client and the internal layout of the ICT
  • Good use of google workspace toolset
You must be able to prove your right to live and work in the UK without visa dependency. Indefinite Leave to Remain is acceptable.
