Job Description

Blackwaters is currently working on a Finance Business Partner role based near Fetcham.About the Role:You will be collective responsibility with budget holders to manage cost centre performance v budget

  • You’ll be the Finance Business Partner for key business stakeholders, including business executives, customer engagement, service delivery and operations.
  • You’ll complete monthly accounts in line with IFRS accounting standards and meet management accounting requirements
  • You’ll produce financial modelling, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow to enable accurate accounting and forecasting
  • You’ll make financial assessment of commercial issues and settlements for accounting and decision making purposes
  • You’ll produce financial reporting and Performance Management for Business Unit, challenging the business to focus on corporate objectives and maximise return on investment
  • You’ll need to identify key financial risks so they can be mitigated in advance
  • You’ll work within a typical 10 year business plan, with an understanding of fixed and variable elements, key risks, opportunities, dependencies and scenarios. Detailed rolling 18 month view for business unit.
    • About You:Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, you will need to be a team player, a strong collaborator, engaged in the wider team and the business, always willing to help when others are under pressure, and have the ability to challenge the status quo, drive and manage changeYou’ll currently be either a finalist or a Qualified Accountant, and you’ll have experience working within and understanding an SME business.
  • Qualified accountant or finalist with a recognised training body (CIMA/ACCA), with significant relevant commercial and financial experience
  • Strong Excel and finance systems skills (SAP)
  • Commercial interpretation, including legal contracts, to ensure correct accounting and accurate financial analysis
  • Ability to extract key messages and understanding from detailed analysis and deliver executive level analysis
  • Ability to manage own workload in pressured environment, drive efficiency in working practise to ensure focus is on business impact, not creation of finance
