My client from the logistics/freight industry is looking to recruit a Purchase ledger clerk for their expanding finance team.You will be responsible for Controlling and booking invoices in real time and accurately. High volume invoice processing Ensuring that all account payable processes and procedures are constantly reviewed, documented, and updated. Responding to supplier queries within a timely manner. Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Monthly reconciliations of Direct Debit accounts. Preparing payments, processing payments by BACS, CHAPS, international payments (Euros, and Canadian dollars) and payment reports. Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit. Developing relationships with suppliers.Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience within a Purchase Ledger role ideally from logistics, freight or shipping industry background.This is an office based role Mon - Friday 9am - 5.30pm, with parking on site. Flexibility to work extra hours will be needed
