Job Purpose:As a Senior Apparel buyer, you will be responsible for developing the business plan to grow the category for our core customer group i.e., female 40-75 years old. Work collaboratively with Technical, Marketing, Sales and operations and taking ownership of Sales and profit targets and Inventory targets efficiently to achieve business goals.Job Responsibilities:Create Business Plan for next 3 Years in partnership with Commercial Director.Assess and identify new Multi-Channel opportunities for growth in Apparel Category.Forecast trends for Fashion and design with a strong focus on Fit, Colour and style.Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract to source right products for the category.Develop Basic Understanding WSSI to make informed and strategic decisions within the defined parameters of the role.Develops Ideas and suggestions with respect to promotions and Mark downs.Delivering KPIs related Margins and Stock levels and Manages OTB accordinglyOwnership of Category Margins including promotions and competitor Analysis.Requires travelling and developing relationship with far east companies.Liaising with other departments within the organisation to grow the Category on various platforms.Brand Development with relation to core customers of the business.Develop a strong team under you. SKILL OR EXPERIENCEStrong multi-unit buying background with experience in Apparel category related high SKU volume products5+ years’ experience as a Buyer within a large volume and fast paced businessStrong Commercial aptitude and entrepreneurial approach Strong team interpersonal skillsFlexible and adaptable team player with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent Communication Skills - with ability to negotiate, communicate aptly and promptly with Suppliers and teams working with.
