Job Description

Export Operations Clerk, FelixstoweFull time, permanentMonday-Friday 09:00-17:30c£30,000 DOE +25 days holidayTLP are working with our client, an established freight forwarder who have built a trusted reputation within the industry offering a bespoke end to end service for cargo movements across the world in their search for an experienced Export Operations Clerk to join their busy Operations team at their Felixstowe office.Role OutlineReceive and action export bookings accurately and in a timely manner, keeping in close liaison with a variety of shipping lines and hauliers.Create bookings using in-house system confirming bookings with the customer.Arrange VGM, BOL and certificates as per customers requirements for each shipment.Maintain in-house system and customer spreadsheets for ease of reference against each shipment.Follow all bookings through from loading to arrival/delivery at destination.Raise invoice to customers ensuring amounts charged correctly.Ensure excellent customer service is delivered.Consistently build, develop, and maintain both existing and new customer relationships.What you will need

  • Experience within a similar role will give any candidate a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge of refrigerated cargo (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail is vital
  • Excellent customer service with the ability to build good working relationships
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload accordingly
  • Capable of working in a highly organized, methodical, and focused manner
  • Sound communication skills, written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Destin8 and CNS
  • IT proficient - MS Office, Excel, Word
  • Strong team player capable of working on own initiative
