Job Description

Product Manager - DataThis is a new role within the UKCloud business that will accelerate and grow our data and analytics practices. The successful candidate will work across our products and professional services groups to help define, design and deliver the next iteration of our Informatics offerings. As the Data Analytics champion within UKCloud you will be close to our customers - identifying and understanding their key outcomes and motivators to do more with data. You will be responsible for enabling the rest of the business to understand the challenges we are trying to address and working with UKCloud’s teams to deliver a repeatable and compelling end to end experience.Product Manager - Data Responsibilities:- Be a champion for the information services and related data analytics capabilities to drive outcomes that delight our customers.- Act as the “Data Solution” evangelist and subject matter expert for prospects, customers, and the UKCloud team. Educating the business and customer on our capability – using the relationships with product marketing, sales and marketing to amplify the message.- Enable our customers to do more with their data. Support identifying and qualifying customer requirements and potential opportunities for the use of data analytics.- Manage and lead UKCloud’s partners and their IT/data analytics teams to understand customers’ requirements for data use, analysis, and quality.- Define commercially and technically appropriate solutions, including the development of data models to support data analysis and business intelligence, and present proposed solutions and associated business cases to senior stakeholders.- Identify opportunities for new Data Products. Create buy-in for our informatics product vision both internally and with key external partners.- Lead strategy development for data analytics products and the associated roadmap to ensure the program becomes pervasive throughout the organization and helps enable new revenue streams.Product Manager - Data Requirements:- Deep understanding of data, data analytics and the usage requirements of data scientists.- Knowledge of trends and developments in the fields of data management and data analytics.- Strong understanding of data and integration architecture · Familiar with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, HBase, Lucene/Solr) and Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools.- Structured consulting and advisory practice approach showing clear line of sight between requirements, solution design and business benefit outcomes.- Ability to understand problems from a broad perspective and anticipate the impact of administrative issues and solutions.- Experienced at making hard and prompt decisions to ensure that the business has the best opportunity possible to succeed.- Able to influence and guide others to make changes and take action without direct line authority.About UKCloud:UKCloud provides an unbeatable, secure UK public cloud.
