Job Description

A German-speaking financial translator is needed for a translation agency with clients across the DACH region. You will be joining a friendly team of highly competent and professional translators specialising exclusively in German/English translation. Thisis a permanent role and you will be required to work from the clients offices on the Surrey/Hampshire border on a daily basis.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translation of texts from German to English, with primarily financial subject matter
  • Editing and revision of colleagues translations
  • Project management and terminology work
About you:You must be fluent in German, have native-level command of English and expertise in the areas of finance, accounting or financial markets. You will ideally have previous experience in translation although this is not essential. This position would be suitablefor a German speaker with strong language skills who is looking for a rewarding and challenging career path in translation.*** Please be aware you need to have the right to work in the UK. ***Profile:
  • Fluency in English to a native level and fluent in German, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience in translation, localisation, copywriting is desirable although not essential
  • A background in finance, accounting or financial markets
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Ability to commute to the office in Aldershot on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
