Job Description

Our reputation for innovation and engineering excellence underpins our continued growth.This position is based at our European headquarters in Farnborough, UK.We are looking for an experienced professional to utilise their Biomedical Science robotics technical knowledge and skills to work side by side with our customers to create innovative and customized solutions. The primary role is to support our customer base and to develop and build partnerships to grow the business.You will be responsible for providing application-based workflow analysis, system configuration, throughput analysis. Contributing to quotations as it pertains to lab automation and robotic integration products and services. You will support our existing customers as well as acquire new customers. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle the position will challenge you to grow your knowledge and expertise in this area as you are exposed to complex applications from world leading biotech and pharma companies.Position Responsibilities

  • Provide application-based workflow analysis by interpreting assays / procedures provided by the customer.
  • Integration consultation consisting of system configurations, instrumentation selection, throughputs, layouts, quotations, and customer expectations.
  • Develop high level technical specification and operational presentations to support each customer’s customised solution.
  • Nurture partnership relationships with our customers to assure successful pre- and post-sale implementation.
  • Expertise in demonstrating Overlord scheduling software as it relates to customer specifications.
  • Participate and contribute on integrations that require Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Expand and grow automation knowledge base and customer relationships.
  • Key Job Skills & Competencies
  • Degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g. Biotechnology, Electronic/Automation, Bio- and Process-Engineering) or corresponding job experience.
  • Interest in the resolution of technical problems and in interdisciplinary teamwork (laboratory, software, automation).
  • Experience in or willingness to work in a highly regulated industry and in labs with biosafety levels S1 and S2.
  • Ideally a first experience in supporting HW and SW as well as experience in laboratory automation and/or service & support are additional assets.
  • You may be an applications engineer/biomedical scientist or a service engineer who is looking for a change in career direction
  • Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills. Solution oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style.
  • knowledge of development languages such as C#, SQL or PL/SQL experience, basic software programming skills and understanding of database concepts and associated query languages is a plus
  • Self-motived and organized, with effective communication, presentation and leadership skills, and adept in solving/troubleshooting complex problems as well as the ability to navigate a fast-paced work environment
