Job Description

Evolve is recruiting for a well-established pharmacy group, with over 40 branches across Scotland.Our client is seeking a Superintendent Pharmacist to join their business on a full-time basis (5 days per week). This will involve 4 days per week travelling to pharmacies across Scotland or based in the head office in Stirling, where you conduct Superintendentresponsibilities, and then 1 day per week as a Responsible Pharmacist in one of the branches.Th is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated Pharmacist looking for a step up, with a progressive and supportive organisation who will support you in completing your independent prescribing qualification, should you require.Ideal Requirements for the Superintendent Pharmacist

  • GPhC registered Pharmacist with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Can do attitude, drive, enthusiasm, able to challenge and bring new ideas to the business.
  • Excellent knowledge of the community pharmacy, the national Scotland pharmacy contract and private pharmacy services in Scotland.
  • A stable pharmacy background (no job-hoppers).
  • Team management experience.
  • A sold understanding of governance and compliance.
  • Located within proximity to Stirling, and able to commit to travel across Scotland on a regular basis.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Independent Prescribing qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
Role Responsibilities for the Superintendent Pharmacist
  • Ensure the business running correctly and accurately in line with compliance and regulations.
  • Respond to queries, and handle any complaints escalated to SI.
  • Maintain/build relationship with GPhC inspectors.
  • Assist Managers and the Operations team with relevant queries.
  • Review near misses & incident reports.
  • Work with the Training Manager to provide appropriate training materials for staff and patients.
  • Review the technology being used by the business and ensure it is being used effectively.
  • Review SOPs to ensure all are up to date, and ensure the business has SOPs to cover all required activities.
