Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a strong Quality Assurance Manager for one of our key clients based in the Falkirk area who specialise in the manufacture of chemical solutions.Client DetailsOur client has a worldwide reputation for being a manufacturing centre of excellence with a drive for continuous improvement and lean principals.Description

  • The job holder is responsible for leading the QA team to develop a Quality Management System to maintain business processes to help the organisation consistently achieve customer satisfaction
  • Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Define and deliver compliance activities.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing Quality Operations team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
  • Assess customer requirements and ensure they are satisfied through company Quality Assurance processes
  • Set validation plans in relation to process improvements/ changes to manufacturing processes, highlighting potential risks to Commercial and Business Representatives
  • Ensure that the organisations Integrated Management System conforms to customer, internal and regulatory/legal requirements
  • Develop and maintain all quality systems and the full ISO suite acting as the contact for external auditors.
  • Develop plans to deliver improvements to pre-defined timescales and establishing engagement across all necessary functions.
  • Act as first point of contact for any customer complaints ensuring all information is identified. Investigate and communicate within appropriate teams and customers
  • Owner of all quality related IT platforms (eg LIMs/EtQ).
  • Ensure integration of IT systems to deliver a consolidated quality system
Profile
  • Lead auditor certification.
  • Degree or equivalent in relevant subject would be beneficial.
  • 3-5 years experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards.
  • Conversant in IT packages (eg LIMS, EtQ or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of system metrics, best practices and methodologies
  • Experience of developing external and internal audit programs and analysing the data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Good project management skills and substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
  • Experience of Quality Assurance for a top tier COMAH manufacturing plant would be desirable but not essential
  • SAP Experience would also be desirable but not essential
Job OfferSalary 50-60k dependent on experience + excellent benefits.
