Job Description

Due to continued expansion, our client is looking to further strengthen their pump repairs department and have a great opportunity for a Pump Engineer.Come and Join the Falkirk Service Centre and be part of their Workshop / Field Service team as Pump Engineer and help take the service centre to the next level.In this role you will be accountable for:

  • To provide efficient investigation, mechanical repair or overhaul, maintenance, removal, and installation service, to meet client requirements
  • Working on pumps which will include end suction, inline double suction, split case, vertical, horizontal, multistage, submersible, self-priming, other rotating plant or machinery
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and assembly of pumps and other related pumps / rotating equipment
  • To visit customers sites to assist in removal and re-installation of various rotating equipment including commissioning and laser alignment
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A recognised formal apprenticeship with a mechanical pump service background
  • Previous demonstrable experience of assembly and operation of a wide range of pumps and associated rotating equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
  • A full and valid driving license is essential
  • Able to work overtime to suit project/customer needs which may involve unsociable hours
Qualifications / Experience / Specific Skills Essential
  • Installations, fault finding, test & repairs (motors & pumps) experience
Preferred
  • HNC Electro/Mechanical Engineering or VQ Level 3 technical qualification
  • Valid / current Offshore Survival Certificate and UKOOA Medical (not essential)
