A consumer electronics business that specialises in handheld & wearable devices require an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with Team Leader experience to join its R&D team.In this role you will be the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, reporting directly into the Engineering Manager. You will have two Mechanical Designers reporting directly into you.You will have opportunity to work on several product developments. Some task work will be brand new product designs, other task work will be redesigning and improving existing products.For this role you should demonstrate Senior Mechanical Design experience whilst also showing experience leading/ managing Mechanical Design Engineers.You should be comfortable taking responsibility of all the companys mechanical design work, whilst also interacting closely with the Lead Electronics Design Engineer.For the products you will be designing it would be beneficial if you have plastic injection moulding experience and have designed products that enclose pcb electronics.If you are a Mechanical Designer who thrives off varied work and design challenges, whilst also having managerial responsibility this will be a role you will enjoy.SKILLS REQUIRED:
