Job Description

  • Ensuring that material is delivered on time, to an acceptable quality standard and within budget in line with the production schedule
  • Effectively manage any exceptions and material shortages and ensure any material issues are communicated in an accurate and timely manor

  • Ensure all purchase orders are placed in line with demand
  • On time actioning and maintenance of Purchase Orders through MRP suggestions.
  • Communicating with suppliers to ensure deliveries are achieved
  • Understanding of utilisation of key MRP master data settings to optimise inventory levels.
  • Taking action with suppliers where deliveries do not meet schedule
  • Escalate all material issues which will impact production in a timely fashion pro-actively
  • Liaise with kitting and production to ensure compliance with production requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance and work with the Materials Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Commodity Buyer where issues arise
  • Undertake any relevant supply chain development projects as required
Profile
  • HNC qualified or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Manufacturing background
  • Experience dealing with supplier
  • ERP experience
