Job Description

Are you looking to join a fantastic company that are only going from strength to strengthThe Role – 1st Line Support TechnicianThe Salary – £23,000 - £25,000The Location – FalkirkRota runs on a shift pattern, working 8 hours between the hours 7 and 7, Monday to Friday with one Saturday a month.I’m delighted to be working with a Falkirk-based client who are looking to bring in a 1st line support technician to their growing IT team. As part of the IT support team you will act as on-site front line support for business users and visitors requiringIT assistance, logging, managing and resolving tasks to agreed timescales and providing a high level of customer service.This role is available because of internal promotion within the team, demonstrating the dedication that the organisation has to progression and career growth. This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical foundation and excellent customer serviceskills looking to build a career within a great organization.Your day-to-day:

  • Act as on-site front line support for business users and visitors requiring IT assistance.
  • Provide 1st line support, troubleshooting issues where possible and escalating to the appropriate team for resolution. Log, manage and resolve tasks allocated to the IT helpdesk using the helpdesk software to agreed timescales.
  • Logging each point of contact through the ticketing system.
  • Being in frequent communication to the users, ensuring they are informed of task progress including closure of raised tickets.
  • Manage mailbox limits, permissions and file/folder access.
  • Administer user accounts through Active Directory.
About you:
  • You’ll have a good technical understanding of computers, networks and communication systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Experience with administering user accounts through Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10.
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot over the phone.
